I honesty don't think they were ever worn, there's not a scratch on the sole's and as soon as I got them home, I gave them a good cleaning, and conditioning. They're pretty comfy and we will see how they hold up.

I thought I would chime in here on this thread because I have owned a few pairs of 405's over the years (and in my opinion), they are not what I would call a "Work Boot"! Now, if your work is conducted in an environment where you are well dressed and or not outside in the elements while digging...
I have owned a few pairs now and have never regretted my purchases. I wore a pair of Allen Edmonds Broadstreets at the magic shop I worked at everyday and never had an issue quality or comfort. The style, and the classic looks are hard to beat. Unfortunately I can't really comment on the quality...
So we have several framed vintage posters of magicians and maps throughout the house. My wife also has several of her paintings and renderings from here travels during architecture school.
