What exactly feels “fishy” to you? We have never come across a fake Lewis Leather, but it’s possible to move the LL tags (both the fabric and the leather logo) onto a different leather jacket to upsell the jacket.

Look on Vinted for jackets in Europe, they use a different platform for the local Europeans. Schott from JP on eBay is due to reposters of Yahoo Japan and Mercari (JP). The market for used leather jackets isn’t as big in the US as is in Japan.

I’ve done a lot of research into denim jackets, seen them in person and tried them on. I’ve been most impressed with Iron Heart 21oz. Despite its weight, it’s buttery soft!

I also suggest skipping the fivestar, and instead getting a used Vanson or Cal

I have a pair of John Lobb Chelsea boots. I like them and wear them a lot. Very easy to put on. If I were to get a new pair, I’d get the John Lobb Jodhpur boots instead, I like that a lot more.

It looks real; the details (Talon zipper, for example) are there. I’ve never seen a fake RMCZ. Think about it from a supply standpoint, there’s not much money to be made to fake a RMCZ leather jacket. They want a well-known brand and the ability to produce in bulk (to make a lot of money).

Leather is not meant to be altered. If you buy it right, you’d only need to buy it once.

Mister Freedom CPO was the nicest I’ve ever felt, and I wear a lot of CPOs. I’d wear the Rocketeet jacket but not the MF41. The latter looks like there’s too much (details) going on for a relatively small jacket.
