What is the weave count for this hat?

I have a new super fino straw hat. my one and only! ...it has a silk cloth lining inside the crown. Why is this? I love my hats to breathe. I NEED IT! ... I never looked inside! This hat is only a few months old. my first hot season is starting! Can I just tear it out? I need to breathe!

Hi! Does anyone know what style of hat this is? I suppose it is a Gambler? In glancing at online pics of that style it looks like most have a round crown. This has a teardrop shape with a pinch at the front. I thought PHD had such a style but now I do not see it. Thanks. This is my uncles old...

I don't do spacers. But I did do an all-around padding and fairing-out with paper towel and it worked great to snug up a hat. I folded it and tucked it inside the hatband. And there's it's been for years, making my too big hat just right. So there's that.

I just got a new-to-me nifty Montecristi Fino panama. It's sweet and the fineness of the weave is pretty to me. ...But it has several "dots" of darker straw. Not whole straws. Just one portion of weave. One. A dot. Of darker straw. 1/32" maybe, or smaller. I'd say there are 4 such dots around...
