No you wont find stokes kirk, they were old military supples like bannermans, i obtained the vents from Walter Budd military supples

hi guys this is my 1883 hat finished a while ago, its got the orignal 83 vents from stokes kirk fitted, two rows brim stitching ,and 2" sweatband

hi anyone no if it possible to stretch a brim on a wool hat? its 3" but to get 31/4 or more thanks

i would sand the vents, paint them matt black, ive found the best rule for shaping these hats is 53/4 centre height and the ends about 5"

your best to get a ribbon color that suits your shade of hat, there was no hard and fast rule on the ribbon color, because the shade of the drab hat was never the same back then, they varied in color from contract to contract
