Yes, it’s a commercial model, built sometime prior to 1922. The frame was built for military use, and still has the eagles head inspectors mark inside the yolk, but after the war ended, pistols such as this one were completed and sold commercially. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I had plans to cut the barrel on this M1917 to 4” ala a true Indy pistol, until I received it and realized what good shape it was in. It would be a crime to cut such a fine antique, so the search continues for a bargain priced beater 1917 :) Shown with my Raiders hat from John Penman.

Snagged this Dobbs Forty a few years ago, and it was dirty, crumpled, stained, and the ribbon was an unatractive grungy yellow. But man was the form-able felt incredible! I sent it off to Art Fawcett, who reblocked it, cleaned it as best he was able, and replaced the sweatband, ribbon and liner...

Have a wonderful Dobbs fedora for sale, marked and fits like a 7 1/2. The color is a lovely caribou grey. Rolled edge, and has been given an attractive teardrop crease. It is in wonderful condition, with no moth damage, stains, or noticeable wear. Interestingly enough, the seller I purchased it...

I'm told, from other forum members, that this hate was made no later than the 30's. It is in great shape for its age, but is unfortunately missing the sweatband. The felt, ribbon, and liner however are in impressive condition. Art Fawcett has told me he would be able to install a new sweatband...
