Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

With the lettering printed on the sweat and that type of paper size label pasted inside, it seems like 1960s to me.

Original Stetson Hat Size Tags and Plastic Holder

Hello. Anyone interested in this nice little set? Cracks in the plastic as seen in the photos. These tags were the kind put down in the ribbon so buyers could quickly see what size the hat was in the store. $70 plus $15 shipping.

It absolutely wasn't common. For sure. But I have seen it.

Be careful with this. Before taking off the wider ribbon, make sure the hat has not faded above the band but is still the original color underneath. The last thing you want is to take off a ribbon and then have two different colors of felt showing.

Actually, hat makers have used a "7/8" tag for both 6-7/8 and 7-7/8.

Dating Vintage Stetsons by size tag

That tag was used in the 60s. Stetson was no longer making the straw hats and buying them from a supplyer at that time. And they pretty much abandoned the long oval sizes by then, too.

“WTF’ Hats,” that are hard to believe...

Those are made for women in South America, by the way. It is an ethnic hat (if I remember it is Colombia).

Dating Your Hat (A Place to Discuss the Age of Your Vintage Hat)

Looks like 1920s or 1930s to me.

Help with {date or identify} a hat please.....!

It is just an "Imperial." Made in the UK. It doesn't have a model name other than that. Imperial was the quality point and was more expensive than the regular "Royal" and "De Luxe."

Dating Vintage Stetsons by size tag

It seems they stopped using the little stickers for size tags before the mid 1920s or so.

    The Stetson One-Hundred "100"

Yeah, that is goofy. Maybe the word "Model"... then a large "s". But that thing at the end??? Maybe an R?

    The Stetson One-Hundred "100"

It is the name of the company that sold the hat. But the photo is not clear enough to tell. Can you get a shot more straight on?
