    Cloth cord for telephone

I need some help from the telephone experts here. I got a bakelite wall mounted telephone, and being wallmounted it doesn't have the cord for the plug. Since I don't want to break my wall to get the "wall plug" higher I was thinking to put in a cord. I was wondering if anyone here knows where to...

Show us your vintage knitting and crochet!

I made this from the vintage knitting for modern knitters book. Sorry for the bad pic, it looks better in real life. Now I just need to get a white belt. I'm currently working on the blue bird from A stitch in time. Still have to do a sleeve and then I'm done.

    Sewing Lessons & FAQ

About zippers, I find it easier to put them in if I baste them in before I start sewing and I always put in the zipper before I sew the rest of the seam, that way I avoid the bulge that has a tendency to appear... If I make a dress I always leave a bit of the seam just over the start and end...

I find that when I have been losing weight fast I gain it back faster, but when I took my time ( about a year for 7 kg) it has been staying off.
