Looks very luxurious. It's a shame it's been cut down. Question from a neophyte! What is the purpose of the string band with a button around the band? I've seen it a few times but haven't figured it out.

I have been looking for a hat in the same style for a while now. Is there a name for this type of hat? The closest one seems to be the Akubra Squatter. Does anyone know of other easily purchased hats in the same style?
