Women's Land Army, original jodhpurs, tie, boots and 1940's jacket, rest repro.
1930's velvet and crepe dress with Ermaline cape.
Vintage Shell uniform & PF Flyer shoes.
Some outfits from Twinwood Festival last weekend.
Vintage woman's Shell uniform worn at Twinwood Festival last weekend, a stall holder really wanted it off me and said he'd swap it for anything on his stall!
Tuppence Wahine & Grant Fan thanks for all your lovely comments, these are my first vintage trousers and they are pretty baggy around the bum but it does make them very comfy. I've worn them on many occasions and while at the Hotrod Hayride this weekend one lady recognised them and we had a good...
Wearing History Overalls, I knew I had to make these as soon as I saw the pattern, sellotape at the ready. I'll definitely be making the trousers from this pattern. I made a size 20, bust 38", waist 32" and hips 41" as it was suggested that this pattern ran a size small, they are very...
Miss Tuppence Sure I'll keep you in mind if I sell the pattern, your Vogue patterns are wonderful they look to be in good condition.
crwitt and lareine "The No-Bra Dress", that's an amazing claim! Here's some close up photo's of the pattern, it just seems that the bodice is very fitted due to a...
Today at the car boot sale I spotted an old box, believing to myself that it was probably empty I walked past, but something made me go back, so glad I did. It was full of approximately 50 patterns! The guy gave me a price of £25.00 I really wanted them, then the other stall holder came over and...
Lady Day love the sundress pattern, Kamikat I love all of those patterns, they're going to look great on you.
This is my latest find on ebay, came in a joblot listed as seven 60's, 70's and 80's vintage patterns, so it seems no one else saw it as I got it for £1.47 plus postage.
Great Thread, these are mine, picked up a couple of summers ago at a carboot sale, I was jumping inside when I spotted them.
They are for a petite girl, so are too small for me, I just love the eyelet detail on the frilled neckline and the contrasting inserts on the
legs.
It's machined with a small straight stitch, the raw edges are just folded over in places and hand finished or left raw. No zig zag stitch or overlocking.
Hi Sunny,
Thanks for your reply, the belt has eyelets and a buckle, but it's not the original buckle as it doesn't have the bar to go in the holes, so I can't even date it off the buckle, the belt is also lined with very soft kid leather.
This garment has puzzled me, what details would help? I...
I'd love your opinion on this dress, need your help dating it.
The fabric feels like viscose crepe, it has a metal zip, hand finished, I don't think the labels original, can't decide if it's 1940's or 70's. Thanks
Thanks for the review Drappa, I'm considering these as work trousers, are they a denim fabric? or just a heavy cotton. I've found my closest store and will pay them a visit next time I'm going that way.
I love this thread, it inspires me so much.
Deadpandiva Your clothes are all fabulous, especially the PJ's

Instructions needed for Butterick 3012
Would any one be able to help me please.
I work in a haberdashery shop and have been helping a young customer (16-17), with a sewing project. She's now finished her dress and picked a 1960's dress pattern up at a vintage fair, I was getting her a zip and...
