    London Tailors.

I'd be interested in seeing some pictures too, and in hearing whether he can cut trousers in linen or cotton which are machine washable.

BOTH SIDES OF THE TWEED! - Show us your tweed suits, sport coats and pants

That's a fantastic suit. What do you know about the material?

Where to get a watch repaired?

If anyone knows a good watch repairer in North London, I'd also be glad to hear of their details.

    White Bucks

Edward, any chance of seeing a few pictures of these in action? I've been thinking of getting a pair.

Sources for decent flannel cloth to make Oxford bags?

She could also try Harrisons of Edinburgh. I'm sure that, if she offered some ordinary grey flannels (i.e. not bags) for £60 she'd also find a lot of interest.

    Opera pumps/court shoes registration

I don't think pumps necessarily look effeminate, but wouldn't wear them, so have gone for option 3. I think they look a lot fussier, and are therefore less elegant, than an oxford. It sounds as though they're not particularly comfortable to wear, either.

The Hunt for Practical Classic Gloves

The Chester Jefferies gloves have a shorter u shape and lower button position than the ones you've pictured above.

The Hunt for Practical Classic Gloves

I've got some Chester Jefferies gloves that are very similar to the ones above - the button may be a little lower, and the u-shaped vent a bit shorter.

    Grey flannels

I'd also be interested in a review if you did order the Magnoli flannels.

    Fishermen's sweaters site

Could you post a picture? I'd like to know what the roll-neck version looks like.

    Chrome Dome and Dryness

Dermal's doublebase range (http://www.diomed.co.uk/dermal-laboratories/hcp-resource/products1/doublebase-range.ashx) is very good - it's what I use for eczema, and it soaks in very easily, leaving very little residue and 'locking in' the cells' water content. If you skin cracks a lot and becomes...

    Mackintosh, rain officers

I've heard that, but more for use on shirts. Is there any risk the lemon juice would bleach the fabric?

    Mackintosh, rain officers

Thanks to Hal, who pointed one out on ebay, I am now the proud owner of one of these coats. A couple of problems, though - does anyone know a way to get rust spots out of the fabric, or to re-glue the peeling edges of one pocket?

    Black Tie Waistcoats

I don't think a died marcella waistcoat would look correct - because there would be a clear mismatch, rather than contrast, between it and the rest of your dinner jacket ensemble (in fabric and pattern). When I wanted a low cut black waistcoat, and couldn't find a vintage one that was long...
