Confirmed my order for what's likely the last Aero wilderness ever made. Must have been a non-starter when they introduced it because it was retired only a year or so after it was debuted. Always loved it though and glad they accomodated my desire to bring it back from the dead
It must be, I see it's listed on the "custom aero" page of Thurston Brothers now:
"Pattern Changes
Shoulder adjustment--$125.00
Waist/bottom hem adjustment--$125.00
Add to or reduce front drop--$125.00"
Has Aero always charged a fee for adjusting the measurements of parts of the pattern? I've always had the shoulders and sleeves modified to my tastes with no extra cost incurred, but now it looks like there's a fee for deviating from the stock pattern measurements.
From what I've also seen, I'm inclined to agree. It's really not a big deal for me tbh, just curious. I figure the jackets will both age in their own unique way in the end
Maybe a dumb question, but is there a great visual difference in the color between brown CXL horse and brown CXL steer? I already have a brown cxl horse jacket and am thinking of brown cxl steer next, but wondering if they'll look too similar in color
Talking with Aero about having their recently retired "Wilderness" jacket made as a one-off in cordovan CXL steer. I don't know what the reasoning is for why they discontinue certain models, but they took down a handful of really nice (in my opinion) styles after that last sale in August.
I'm actually in the market for a new aero again, even after the price hike. I know there was some discussion of linings earlier in the thread, I was wondering if anyone knew how durable the quilted lining is
Has anyone had any experience with the deck jackets from SM Wholesale USA? I'm in the market for a deck jacket and it looks like a strong contender

From what I've observed over the last few years, there seems to be a sale maybe once a year. I think there are smaller sales on sweaters and things that pop up yearly too.
Received a Filson Mackinaw work jacket for Christmas in a nice black/dark green plaid, and I've been really enjoying it. First Filson garment I've ever owned and one of the USA-made ones too.
What is this particular style of jacket called? I believe the one pictured is a Goodwear repro of a Monarch, and the style looks very 40s. Does this model have a proper name? I'm guessing many brands offered a version of it
