Here is the second of two hats I am re-homing. This is a used gray Akubra Federation IV Deluxe, size 60 (7 1/2). It was seldom worn but has some moth damage at the top of the crown in the rear. I am asking $50.00 or your best offer, plus shipping.

Today I had my best Fedora sighting ever! I was to be interviewed by a print journalist about the opening of a new business. When I answered the door, there he stood in his Fedora with a large "PRESS" pass stuck in the side of his hat band. Very vintage! :eusa_clap
I find restaurants to be the worst. They generally make no provisions whatsoever for patrons' hats or coats. Airplanes are second worst, although since I am taller than most airplane seat backs, I simply wear the hat. I'd name cars as a close third.

My oldest Tilley is about 15 years old. It still looks new, and has only been through the washing machine twice in 13 years. Tilley, however, recommends occasional washings to keep accumulated oils from deteriorating the hat. It is one tough hat, I am telling you.
I cannot help you with your question. However, I own two T-3s of different colors: olive for the woodlots and white for boating. I love my Tilley's. I'm not sure you can judge a Tilley's brim from marketing photos. In my experience they all seem pretty soft.
