Bought my first girdles last week Thanks you all your suggestions I bought 2 girdles last week to try them out and see which style I like. I got the Rago 6201 Zipper Hi-Rise Long Leg in white and the Rago 1294 19" Open Bottom Girdle in black. I had my first chance to try them out during the...

I loved this blue dress http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8396516280&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEDW%3AIT&rd=1with the scalloped neck and niffty waist detail but stopped my self at $75 and Im glad because it went for $129. Not quite as bad as $400 but still not worth it. I lost...

    Questions, questions

The repo dresses at Daddy-O's are mostly from Stop Staring and I agree that they are a bit pricy, though I have found that they are well made. I myself would prefer to make my own clothes but finding patterns is difficult for me. I have found a few online but on ebay I have been outbid for...

What's your favorite era for fashion?

I cant decide which era is my favorite, they all have their special qualities. The respect the 20s for their liberation and experimentation. I love the 30's for their elegance. The really like the 40's for their fashionable practicality and then celebration of freedom.

As if we didn't chat about pin curls enough. . .

I also have hair that holds curl without any work but no matter how much I brush I dont get smooth waves. I dont know how to go from Shirley Temple ringletts to stylish waves like Gene Tierney (see http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/7178/ for examples). Also does anyone know how to go from...

    Questions, questions

I too am curvy, even more so after the birth of my daughter 4 months ago. Im betweena modern 16 and 18 but am hoping that with time I can at least get back to 12-14 if not further. I am finding it hard to find vintage stuff in our sizes but worse than that is that few people bother to make repo...

Im all for the brit/scot/irish accented man but what about aussies? Where the brit accent conveys intelligence and depth the aussie makes me smile and want to go out to have a good time even if he just saying g'day.

"1940's Hairstyles" The book will break the bank

Yuba Community College. My grandfather, a former vietnam war POW, lives there and I moved there to be closer to him, get to know him and his life and its always easier to move to a new location if you know someone who can tell you where to get the best burger and cheapest gas.

    Features on Men

My grandfather had/still has a mint cherry red MG-B and while I got to look at it from a distance the second my corvette-driving boyfriend saw he got to drive us around the block. Oh, how I drooled over it and still dream of owning it. Its one thing for the guy to have the cool car, but as a...

I guess I'm a bit jaded by too many relationships gone bad, but its so refreshing to hear you going to such length for your gal. The guys never seem to understand my search for the perfect style and If I told them I was going to spend a couple hundred $$ for a book about it they would look at...
