The chemicals in most hair dyes (unless the all-natural type) are quite bad for your system since they seep in through the skin. I couldn't imagine dyeing my hair that often, for any reason. :(
Miss Golightly, I finally got home to my waiting samples of Rosine Nuit de Chine, My Sin, Nuit de Noel, and Tabac Blond. Wow, they are all so interesting! I wanted to say than you for the samples and the lovely little bag they came in. :)
Here are my impressions of them after several tries (I...
I don't feel I look halfway decent if I don't dress up and do my makeup. It's not that I'm trying to look especially nice, I'm just trying to rise to the level of passable. Of course, then I go out and notice I'm oddly overdressed compared with everyone around me and I do in fact stand out. It's...
Here is a bit of information on the hair color-perfume connection!
I looked up what I could online and didn't come up with too much, except for an article on ourvanity.com (I'm not including the direct link simply because of the ridiculous pop-ups). I'm not sure about the sources for the...
I suppose it really depends in the local *and* business culture. I think it could come off as overdone or inappropriate (nightwear or even too sexual). Of course you may decide that you don't want to work for anyone who could be so close-minded.
Personally, I have always gone for soft...
I spy a corset under that lovely dress! Now if only I could get one that fit that beautifully...
Edit: I noticed in several other pictures, not just the two posted here. It may just be a light waspie or even a bustier, but I somehow doubt it.
Any opinions on the old red velvet versus the new one? I heard someone say that the Voluptuous version isn't as pigmented and the color might be a bit different.
I'm wondering if I should start a new thread for this question or not. It is related to vintage perfumes, but not my favorites. I was walking with my aunts the other day and noticed a beautiful magnolia in full bloom. I said that I had never noticed the scent of magnolias before, but happened to...
I do occasionally wear tap pants and, yes, they are very comfortable. I find them much more comfortable than most other forms of underwear. They shouldn't show up under pants either because they are generally made of very thin, silky material (at least from what I have encountered).
Yes, and I just posted pictures there. This is certainly my kind of look! I am, however, seriously in need of hair help. Mine falls mid-butt. I'm not too keen on cutting it, though I love some vintage cuts/styles. All the same, I was told just the other day that I looked quite the femme fatale...
Time to bump this thread. Fall reminds me of all things gothy. (Good enough reason, right?) I got into the music when I was 12 (my science teacher had some recommendations!) and started dressing the part around 14-15. I'm still much more goth than vintage (at 23), but each year I see more and...
KittyT, if you don't mind me asking, which style did you buy from them? I'm thinking about your question regarding keeping the the back ends parallel.
Also, I have one of their corsets and it, along with the several others i own from different companies/corset makers (custom and not), has the...
