Yeah I did buy one & it's thin goat suede,after I bought it I saw the Iron & Resin offering which is thicker & cheaper.. I'm always suspicious when they use terms like 'Roughneck',you know,when they fail to specify 'Full Grain Leather'..Iron & Resin stuff does appeal

Hi,yeah that did occur to me,a little belatedly it must be said.. I watched a YouTube video on replacing Stud & Tack buttons (I think that's the correct term) & ordered some from Amazon.. I forget exactly what tool the Youtuber used to pry the original buttons loose..I'll do a little more...

Hi,yes I was referring to the short trucker in the fifth photograph ..I did look on Vanson's site but I didn't see anything like that there.. I like short trucker jackets,not long ones. I did a search & saw the Vanson Maverick,but the Cheyenne is way nicer..& pretty rare too..at least here in the UK

These look so great. I've been researching a lot of full grain Roughout jackets (shirts too!) Rugged West (Pakistani made I think),Iron Heart,RRP,Golden Bear & their collaboration with..is it Nokoma? ( the Baseball glove manufacturer).. Also Simmons Bilt's Ranch jacket. Drakes do a nice shirt...

Drakes do a "Roughout" overshirt but inside it is not shiny ,it must therefore be split suede not full grain Roughout ? This is very misleading,possible to justify the extortionate price tag..it does drape nicely though

I don't know if this really qualifies as a jacket..but it may qualify as a 'shacket'- Drakes Roughout overshirt ..it's very heavy but I cannot ascertain whether it is waterproofed. Yes..I suspect it might be shoulder to shoulder as opposed to body barrel size.. Definitely researching this one in time for final measurements

Yeah the 44'' barrel would of been ok if the arm holes had been..farther apart I suppose..Going up to 46'' didnt change that..so I guess I need to include like shoulder to shoulder measurements..I'll ask Chloe.. That front quarter horse hide though..love it..warms up nice in the sun

Yes this thread is the closest to my problem although I am not certain that arm holes are the problem... I'm on my second Aero chips,having gone from a 44" to a 46" & while there is plenty of actual chest room,it is still annoyingly tight around the back/shoulders/arms..or one or more of those...

I really like Robbie79's RMC B3..what gorgeous leather..makes me wish I'd not gone with Eastman's 'time worn'.. Anyway I was lucky enough to find this (chest 42")Schott on E bay (Thanks,Dom)..
