Is now a BBC series! Admittedly, it's for children, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Lots of lovely clothing and household items to see.

Neither patterns are identical to the dress in the video, but hopefully they're close enough. I'm sure someone will find a closer...
I have a pair of these slippers in navy, they look lovely and 40s on!

Edit: Forgot to say, that's a gorgeous cardigan Lolly - lovely colour and detailing.
Thanks everyone! I feel so lucky! Here's a gratuitous close up shot of the neckline:
And another recent purchase:
Wow the waves are perfection! I think my hair texture is similar to yours, I've had some success with a similar set - except at the back of my head - I'll give pillow rollers a go!
Oh that red dress is so beautiful - I adore big skirted dresses with sleeves! Lovely for autumn eh? And the shoes are delicious -any chance they're not vintage?
Here's my latest purchase and it's all mine (greedily and gratefully)!
I have two methods to stave off a lipstick retreat; I only ever drink with a straw (even hot drinks), and I eat like a camel (recede lips, bare teeth, attack food!). The latter is almost impossible to do while looking like a lady, but I figure my lipstick is worth it.

I went on Saturday and was a bit disappointed with the mannequins as they didn't much show the silhouettes, which is what drew me to 1940s/50s clothing in the first place.
It was lovely seeing the sketchbooks, though I wish I could have had a proper nose through a few of those!
How interesting - I look ill if I wear mascara on my lower lashes, they are too long and just look like dark circles from most any distance! I overcompensate by loading up the uppers to near-breaking point.
