Am I the crazy one? customer service experience with Wested

Aero or Five Star are your high- and ok-price options. I'd go Aero if you can afford it. Simmons Bilt is marginally cheaper; their build quality is on a par with Aero and they have a wide range of custom options. People get upset about SB, though. I once bought a jacket from them, which has...

Am I the crazy one? customer service experience with Wested

If it's a full custom job and it requires new 'blocks', probably not. If it's a Levi's Menlo style you're after, it *might* be possible to get one used at a fair price. Simmons Bilt's base prices then attract extras as you choose options. Magnoli Clothiers might be an option. I think that...

Am I the crazy one? customer service experience with Wested

Simmons Bilt - whatever their sins and the long shadows they might cast - will do you an excellent custom jacket. It'll set you back about 900 quid, though.

Am I the crazy one? customer service experience with Wested

I had a Wested experience that ended after I mentioned that I owned an Aero and was wondering about Wested's horsehide. That was it, apparently: I only had to mention it and I brought down radio silence.

    Uneven grain/crease on a Horsehide?

Fit looks ok to me. If leather is too tight on a skinny person, it's a bit more forgiving; if a person carries extra weight, it's like comical sausage skin in too many cases. I reckon that slightly too loose is better than too tight if a person has a gut. Nothing weirder than when an unzipped...

    Uneven grain/crease on a Horsehide?

^ Even given this stridency, leave your scrotum be. Don't iron it or try to stretch it out.

    Uneven grain/crease on a Horsehide?

It's fine, it's all normal. Be at peace, etc.

    Heavy CXL question

Yes, it softens. It won't ever get lighter. I recommend the medium-weight hides for overall 'wearability' (which might be a word), but there isn't a huge difference.

What is your all time favourite leather

Aero's Seal Goat would probably be a contender for its suitability in many weather types - its weight/thickness is pretty much the mutt's nuts in climates I live in.

Where can I get the screen accurate war of the worlds jacket made? 44 long

Johnson Leathers would be your best bet. I don't think I've seen JL make a misstep yet.

    Aero wool and leather Halfbelt

The wool jackets are great. If Aero did a Mariner in black or navy wool, I'd get one.

Cannabis smell. How to get rid of?

It's time for an olive-coloured jacket.

    Cleaning a goat-skin leather jacket?

The pillow case protects the buttons and anything else that could snag. I'd only do this if a jacket was really, really dirty, or on those occasions where Shanghai municipal authorities have saturated an item in anti-covid liquid and then it's been sat in a depot for three weeks, damp. :)

    Cleaning a goat-skin leather jacket?

Hose. Then put it inside a pillow case and into the washing machine. Cold wash, spin speed won't matter if it's in the pillow case. Remove from machine, put in a place where it can air dry for a few days. Done. From what I've understood, this won't remove oils or waxes, damage stitching...
