OK guys, they don't come very much rarer than this one. It's from the NRA era, it's linen, it's 8 panel newboy cap with venting grommets on the sides of the crown. It does need to be cleaned, but any reputable hat cleaner (Optimo, say) would not have trouble. I've never met a linen garment that couldn't be cleaned … The sweatband has come clightly detached in a couple places. I would imagine that when being cleaned, the sweat would be removed anyway so it shouldn't pose oo much of a deal-breaker.
It has 2 labels stating 7 1/4 and measures right around 22.5" around the sweatband.
£100 for the hat, shipping extra and cost of shipping to be determined by location. Buyers from UK I'd prefer cash or a cheque. All others, Paypal only, and a small (£2) fee would apply.
The union label is the pre-merger Cloth Hat Caps and Millinery Workers Union. Merged in 1934 with United Hatters of North America to become United Hatters Cap and Millinery Workers International Union.
Please post within the thread if you're interested. First come first served. (I will be offering it based on the time of reply to this thread, or the time of a PM into my inbox. or if a good friend wants it they'll go to the top of the list.).
