I thought some of the Bay Area ladies might be interested in a vintage knitwear exhibit and trunk show in San Francisco this upcoming weekend (Aug. 9-12). If interested in going to the opening reception on Thursday the 9th, please note you should RSVP by tomorrow (Aug. 7); RSVP instructions, location and more info are on this webpage:

"Ohio Knitting Mills (ohioknittingmills.com)offers unique virgin vintage knitwear made from 1947-74. Made at the historic Cleveland, Ohio mill, this rare collection of never worn and one-of-a-kind fashion design artifacts will be shown for the very first time in the Bay Area. Join us for a preview reception, followed by a three-day trunk show. [...] If you can't join us for the opening reception, stop in during the weekend to see these rare vintage pieces. Refreshments will be served during the preview reception, including Trumer Pils beer."

Anyone who can say no to vintage clothes *and* beer is a better person than I ;^)

Great idea! Would meeting-up on Saturday afternoon (it's open from 11 a.m.-7) work for other ladies? It being Fillmore Street, there are many cafes and drinkeries/eateries we could choose from. That part of Fillmore also has several "nicer" type thrift and consignment stores (like the Junior League and Symphony(?) ones) that could be visited also.
