Wow, what a parade of terrific hats of late!
The breeze was icy enough to remind me that it is not yet Summer, but still only Spring, on my stroll to the lake. A beautiful day nonetheless. The Campdraft Deluxe in Sand (Silverbelly when I purchased it in 2020) kept the sun's rays off of me.

And thanks to all that have posted hat hanging ideas. Now working out what suits the space. Correct hanging them flat upside down best looks after them but needs more width?
On the Campdraft versus Open Road “you say tomato and I say tomato”. Which does not translate well into the written word as it does verbally from the I think Broadway song.

Interesting the tie between the two giants of the hat world. I have a Stetson Stratoliner but sadly did not understand crown hats so bit low for my head and also in a dress felt so needs more care, definitely not a rainy weather hat.
The Akubra Campdraft is an Open Road, not the other way around. Back in the 1960s and 70s (maybe 50s as well?) Akubra had a license to make Open Roads for the Australian market. When that license was not renewed by Stetson (in the 70s or 80s, not sure exactly when) Akubra simply relabeled the...

Here is mine. I got it styled as per the hat that was presented to JFK in Dallas by I think the governor to encourage him to wear a hat. Maybe had he things might have turned out differently.
