What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Good morning folks. For evening shennigans I wore an Akubra Campdraft. This the TFL version with a 2.5" brim. After relocating snow this morning (in a cap) I switched to a Knox Vagabond King. It has glorious felt and clean features. A real pleasure to wear. Cheers, Eric -

I have enjoyed your hat shares and escpecially the dog hat shares of late. I do not quote your posts enough - I look forward to them. Thanks for sharing. I have never seen a Wanderer in real life. This is truly a dreamy hat. Thanks for sharing of late. Thanks for sharing your requisite...

Here you go. This is the same Fed IV I showed you the other day. All those other photos are the same bash.

Does anyone have decent photos of a federation IV with teardrop? I can’t get a campdraft in a colour I like, and looking on the hattery website the fed is actually a little smaller brim wise than the squatter, and the height difference is only 0.5mm open crown, so I’m thinking it might be a...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Steady cool rain this morning.... Out comes the Campdraft Deluxe ( Cedar Brown) for the coffee and errand run. Storms moving in in a bit so this is shaping up to be a mostly indoors day

Afraid of it is one at to put it, while I appreciate the look it’s not one I feel like I can pull off, so it’s probably a bit much for now at least. Like you I I’ve a fairly small face, so an overly tall crown or wide brim swamps me a bit, but one option would be to put a teardrop crease in...

...spend a lot of time in an office. But you gotta like that look. Some folks don't like that swooping effect of a dimensional brim. The Campdraft is a fantastic hat. It is very easy to wear and can go from outdoorsy all the way up to semi-formal. The Sand color is plenty neutral but my...

...one as a work hat, most likely a tablelands or a cattleman. But as a general wear hat, I’m a little undecided. I like the look of the campdraft but not the limited available colours, I prefer either brown or heritage fawn as good neutral colors. The squatter has some htings to recommend it...

...have considered getting a Squatter but, like the Adventurer, the brim is just too big for my small head, so I stick with the Fed IV and the Campdraft. Finally, this thread is for answering questions, whereas you seem to want discussion. You might find more of of that over on the Akubra...

AKUBRA CAMPDRAFT DELUXE: HERITAGE COLLECTION SIZE 59: OPEN ROAD MOD: SEE PICS

For consideration is one Akubra Campdraft Deluxe that has been modded with an Open Road inspired look. Come to find out this particular crown shape, height, and brim size just don't work for me. So its time to move this along to a new owner that can enjoy and wear. As you can see from the...

Too bad no Heritage Campdraft Deluxe. Regular Imperial felt Hats are still nice... just not QUITE as nice lol. The grail Im still hoping beyond hope to find is an older light grey Bogart... Ive seen ONE in person so I know they did exist ( but it was too small).

Btw, have you thought about a Campdraft? Same price as the Adventurer (the black ones are on sale, so even cheaper), with a similar crown design. At one time, they were Australia's official Open Road but they have a character that is unique. Easy to wear and very rugged.

One thing I like about the Camorra is the open crown. I quite like the fact that hats used to generally be sold that way rather than pre-dented.

Campdrafts are good hats. Ive got a well worn Imperial felt in bluegrass green thats a great knock around hat. I also have a Campdraft Deluxe with the heritage felt in Cedar Brown that is a much nicer hat. The bound edge on these hats really give it a nice touch.

...type, and on the other I really need a decent hat for fieldwork to keep the sun off, so in that respect I’m looking towards an akubra. The campdraft may serve double duty, or I may eventually get one of each. In any case since I’ve used up my hat budget for now I’m going to spend time...

...serviceable hat. See my longer review in the Open Road Guild thread. Not sure how the pricing is currently with tariffs, but the Akubra Campdraft is a popular alternative choice. I had a Temple back in the day, and I do see why it's been in the lineup for so long. It's a good choice for an...
