I've noticed this too :( But it actually made me think the Etsy prices aren't so bad, haha. I didn't buy and then missed out on a couple of VERY nice dresses on Etsy recently because I started buying vintage back in (ahem) (a very long time ago); when we thought $25 for a rayon 1920's two tone...
That's what I was thinking, it's a cotton housedress. An adorable housedress. Maybe if it was rayon... Ah well, hopefully there is some cute pin-up girl who bought it and I'll see some photos posted here sometime. :)
OK, I am DYING for this dress, but doesn't this seem insane? It was sort of fascinating to watch the bidding war. You can look at a recap in the bid history.
Vtg 30's/40's Cotton Seeksucker Print Zip Front Dress
I'm watching a slow motion train wreck of a bidding war over a dress that is already up to the "they cannot have bid it up that much" amount. It goes in an hour.

You're right. Actually it is quite maddening - the corporation as person ruling. I meant person as a, well, actual human being. :) Ah well. Interesting to find out the outcome.
Yes, I am completely aware of the definition of "estate". My problem is equating a corporation (the estate managed by an ad agency) with a person. In forming an opinion, we shouldn't feel we are supporting Bette Davis the wonderful actor. As an aside; I may feel that they way they name their...
Bette Davis isn't a brand name. She is a public figure.
I guess I would have more empathy for this suit if it was actually brought on by the legendary woman. That it is brought on by her descendants because her name is still "worth substantial sums of money in the marketplace" who had nothing...
Sorry to ask again, so parallel to the part would be as Yesterday's Girl has her curlers in in this shot:
and perpendicular would be how she rolled the bangs i guess.
If you missed it before, these shots are from Yesterday's Girl's blog...
