    I measure 22-5/8" which most sources list as a 7-3/8. But when I buy a new 7-3/8 it's just roomy enough to need a little foam insert. Found a 20-30 year old felt Stetson I like the look of for a good price. But it's a 7-1/8. Reckon I could safely and slowly stretch it to fit me?

    Which would leave needle holes albeit very small ones. I've removed ribbons before and the holes in the crown could be seen up close.

    I expect I could have one custom made. But first thought I'd ask if any off-the-shelf quality Open Road style hats are available without the bound edge? Bound edges just always look wrong to my eyes for some reason.

    Thanks for the post. Not concerned with specs being screen accurate as I generally don't wear my hat Indy style. I just like the color, brim size, and open crown. And I'm most concerned with quality in the $200 and under neighborhood.
