Stiffener for Montecristi brim..
Is there a way to add some stiffness to a Montecristi brim? I have one that has a very, very floppy brim and won't hold a block at all, partly due to the way it's woven, but also due to the floppiness. Because of that, the hat is borderline unwearable. It ends up looking like a boonie hat no... -

My new Panama Optimo
I just got my Panama Optimo in the mail last week. I was kind of hesitant to get an Optimo-style hat because I wasn't sure how it would look on me and you don't see the Optimo style around much, but after getting it, I'm delighted with it. I love the look and it feels great on my head. -

Replacement sweatbands
I have a couple inexpensive wool felt hats that are lined and have those "fake leather" sweatbands in them that are actually made of cardboard or paper and then finished to look like leather... which makes them akin to wearing Saran Wrap around your head from a breathability standpoint. :p... -

Felt hats in summer..
I was just curious as to how many folks wear their felt hats in summertime? I'm in southern Pennsylvania where it gets hot and humid in summers (ugh!) so I mostly wear straw in summer, but every now and then, when it's not TOO hot, I break out a felt fedora. What's the hottest the weather can... -
