Walking home from giving tuition, my Fed kept typical English summer drizzle off my glasses. I really cannot understand why everyone is not a hat-wearer. What hat to wear with a linen suit?
Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, but.... I have a wedding to attend and will wear my linen suit. What hat would be the most suitable to accompany this look? I have both a brown and charcoal grey fedora - but feel that these are a bit too 'wintery'. My preferred choice...- Indy_Rhodes

I am just about to order a waistcoat from them...but I have not bought from them before. I would agree with that...fabulous music. My own choice would go, as composer, to John Barry. His soundtrack to 'Zulu' greatly added to the feeling of menace, whilst his music for 'Out of Africa' is quite simply beautiful, and evocative of the wide, hot plains...- Indy_Rhodes

Very sorry to hear about your mom...personal experience inevitably taints one's view of all things. I certainly meant no offence to you or anyone. My point was really intended to be a general observation on some modern advances being good - but I would acknowledge that not all of them are!- Indy_Rhodes

Hmmm...I respect your choice...but I certainly would not concur. Firstly there is the 'risk element' - a flu shot may have drawbacks, but flu kills. Secondly, there are well proven, massive clinical benefits to vaccination: an individual's choice to forgo immunisation puts them, and those...- Indy_Rhodes

Best "hat movie" ever?
How about "Out of Africa" for some tropical hats? The whole film glows in period detail. Robert Redford has some nice wide brimmed hats (and Meryl Streep has some good ones too!). If I could work out how to upload an image or two...I would. I'm sure somebody will be able to sometime.- Indy_Rhodes

Do you wear a fedora with your leather jacket?
I love Indy. His look is iconic. However...like somebody said earlier I could not really ever wear more than one item of his at any one time. So my brown Fed IV never goes with the brown leather jacket. It's a great look...but it's his, and as far as I'm concerned he's bagged it for himself!- Indy_Rhodes
