Fashion Gurus, I need your help.
About 5 years ago, my significant other and I sold our homes and move to a condo. I had about 70 suits and gave most to a men’s shelter. Also, I had 39 fedoras (Dobbs, Stetsons, Biltmore etc) My law partners and I dress in the circa 1940s styles. Footjoys...
Thank you for the uplift. I really would like to get “open crown” types. Been on this site learning from many guys around the world. I still have a few old wingtip foot joy shoes and Atkins. I talk to youngsters they never heard of Edwin Clapp and the like ha ha ha. I try to talk style to some...
Thanks a mint. Haven’t been able to find a hat maker with old Al Capone type hats. Growing up that’s all my dad and uncles worn. Thanks again will keep my eyes open.
I have about 25 fedoras. All bought over the last 50 years. Bought in Baltimore and DC areas. Have not been able to find fedoras that allow a man to block it. Everyone I purchase is permanently blocked. Any suggestions on where to get the old style, block yourself 40s-50s fedoras? Thanks in advance.

Thanks a million. I will keep that in mind, if I should ever go the suspender route, and will pass it on to the two gentlemen. One was a Kansas state senator and was dressed immaculately. Really seemed to know vintage clothes. He stated almost the same as you, about clip suspender.
Gentlemen: I was at Wellesley College last week and two gentlen were having a conversation about suspenders. My question is are both button and clip suspenders okay to wear with suits? And why or why not?
Thanks in advance
Hey Moe, I haven't been on site for two years. My law partner and I are fanatics for 30s, 40s, 50s. I have been able to find great suits from Paul Frederick in the old styles. Fit perfectly. Not saying that is a solution to your question, but I have a closet full of those suits and ties. Reaaly...
