Thank you David! I dunno. With your beard and the Carhartt you've been wearing, you just might pull it off better than you think.

That crease is the Oreana, also known as the Montana Pinch with a mule kick in the back. I refurbished a couple of Westerns with that very crease.

    Western, anyone?

Those colors really show up nice against that back drop. That looks good on you. You're definitely suited for Westerns.

Not to mention, that hat style was worn again by John Wayne in another John Ford classic. The Three Godfathers

Except for the ribbon that Hornskov Broker almost looks like the Stetson that I refurbished.

Yup. That's true enough. You have to get the dimensions just right for it look good. I'm a 7 1/4. So for me a 5 3/4 open crown and a brim width of 2 5/8 - 2 3/4 works perfect but may not work for somebody else. Block shape and crease type is also something to consider for someone's size and face...

The felt on that Borsalino is really nice. I love the brown on that too. Not to mention, that is one tall block!

    Western, anyone?

Here's a couple of old school Westerns that I refurbished. The lighter one is a 3X Resistol and the other one is a Knox Stagecoach. Both sport a Montana Pinch with a Mule Kick in the back. The Knox has a 7 inch open crown and a 4 1/2 inch brim width with a 1/4 pencil curl. Before and After...

Never the less, it's still a nice collection of Westerns you posted. If your thread does get moved to the 'Western Anyone' thread you'll actually have the benefit of greater visibility for that fine collection of yours. That thread gets a good deal of traffic by Loungers who also love the...

    Short Brimmed Cowboy

Well, to me, it looks like we can say that there's different variations of the Western, (cowboy), hat, as seen by the many pictures posted here. Short brimmed, Mid brimmed, and Wide brimmed. People readily recognize all three variants as Cowboy Hats. I wear all three variations, myself. Anyway...

Wearing this Akubra that I rebuilt using the materials from a modern wool felt Stetson Whippet. A good Lounger friend sent them to me. Donor hat: The Akubra also had a hole in it that I was able to patch up and blend in to the surrounding felt. After:
