FS: U.S. WWII Tanker Helmet Package

I am liquidating my WWII militaria collection and I'm offering a Tanker Helmet package. The package includes a Cloth Winter Helmet, a Rawlings Tanker helmet in size 7 1/2, a pair of M-1944 American Optical goggles, a T-45 lip microphone, and an SW-141 push-to-talk switch. It DOES NOT have the...

Some help with a dinnerware pattern (& a neat recipe!)

This article was in my recent Pheasants Forever magazine & we really like the china pattern. Does anyone have a name for this pattern or a good source for similar patterns? The story about the Aberdeen Pheasant Canteen is a good one. Here is a video on it.

    Show us your match cases!

I got this off E-bay a few days ago. What drew me to it was that I remember some of these later Zephyr trains going by our house outside of Chicago in the early 60's (pre-Amtrak). Now if I could just find some small (1 & 11/16" x 1 & 1/8" match boxes)

    Typewriters

This thread got me looking closer at a typewriter I bought a few years ago for my WWII Living History display. Thanks to the Interwebby, I know know that my Remington Deluxe Model 5 was built between August 1940 - July 1942! Now I just need to clean it up and do a little TLC to get it rolling...

    vintage toys

This bank belonged to my father (b. 1911). I'm not sure if he was given this or was passed down from his two older brothers. It has slots fore and aft to drop your coins in and is held together by a screw on the left side. There is no manufacturers name on it.

See, this is what I love about this site. I'm casually scrolling through these pictures, "Uh Huh, that's interesting" and I get to the last pic and "Holy Cow!" it's the coffee pot my Mom & Dad used to use when I was a kid! Never had any idea that this is how it worked. Thanks for the...

    Chatham by Stetson

My Caribou (gray) Chatham arrived Friday. & I really like it except ( you knew there'd be an 'except') for the sweatband. I don't know what it is made out of but I'm pretty sure it never said 'Moo'. Just wearing it for a few minutes gives me the old slick forehead. Need so many Nauggas die...
