I do not have an OR in CT, but I would not worry about others. I hear the "Indy" comments all the time when I am wearing my Orvis hat on weather days, but it doesn't stop me from wearing it proudly. An OR or OR type hat is on my list, short list. -

Akubra Overload
Thank you for all the replies. I am sporting a 7 3/8 Long Oval and have been able tame a Stetson to fit well though daily wear. A Camp Draft (most likely) is in my future, and I am feeling more confident about a 59. Thanks again. -

Akubra Overload
Do you buy an Akubra true to size or upsize to get the shrinking process correct? I have only held off buying an Akubra because it will be my first and the thought of a potential return process though the mail bothers me. -

Reducing hat size
Thank you for the reply Yahoo. Paper towels removed, and hat still on my head. A nice bowl of soup for lunch has added a little sweat on my brow. -

Reducing hat size
Akubra Boomerang shrinking project has started. The hat was my father's, he has been trying to give it to me for a while. It is a 61, I am a 59/60 LO. Paper towels under the band and hat on my head for a couple hours a day for the time being. I will let you know how it works out.
