Redfokker that is absolutely stunning! Up until now I was not a huge fan of either the long hair or the shark gill, was I ever wrong! The colors suit it perfectly as well. Mike is incredible at turning ideas into a masterpiece! You can wear this one proudly everyday...you will however make...

I can see why he's your favorite. He's very personable and has a real passion for what he does. You're very lucky to live close to his store....on second thoughts your wallet my disagree. Although his prices are lower than you will find anywhere! Thank you!

I'm not sure what steel felt is. The color is steel blue, and the felt is beaver. It is firm but very soft.

Thank you! I'd never seen a double tear drop either but he had a picture of one he did on his Facebook page. I'm very pleased with it!

I just received my fedora from Northwest Hat Company. Mike Miller is very personable and does excellent work. This is my first custom hat and although it took a while to get it, it was exactly as I ordered. I was worried about the double tear drop crown, as it is difficult to make, which I've...

    Looking for an A-2 (Help)

I believe Cooper manufactured the military issued A-2 in 1942 and then again from 1988 - 1998. Avirex issued them briefly in 1988 and then from 1999 until the Berry Amendment put an end to them in 2006 because the goatskin was imported from Pakistan. Avirex used the Cooper updated designed...

    Looking for an A-2 (Help)

The Schott is definitely the best quality but they are all very good. The Cooper A2 is the most authentic overall, but yet the Avirex is still my favorite!

    Looking for hat information?

Thank you for the reply. I checked the inside of the sweatband first and there are no tags or labels. There was a small tag that was removed but that doesn't help. It is a fine hat and I'm glad I got it...just curious at how old more than anything else. Who in there right mind has a hat like...

    Looking for hat information?

I just purchased this fedora from an antique dealer and he wasn't able to give me much information other than he thought it was made by Lee Hats for Woolf & Reynolds but wasn't positive. As you can see the hat looks brand new and has no wear what so ever on the crown, brim or even the...

    Looking for an A-2 (Help)

I have a Cooper A2, a Schott A2, as well as an Avirex Top Gun G-1 and Avirex G-2. Avirex are sold now under the "Cockpit" name. The A2s I find fit a little short on the waist. My favorite that I wear most of the time is the G-2, which Cockpit now calls the Mod Raiders Jacket. It is lighter...
