Got one! Stumbled across an early 70's one and the fit is perfect! Barely a fade on it too.
I'm not usually one for slim fit jackets, I'm a man of small shoudlers and a bit of a belly so they rarely suit, but holy hell this fits well. Very, very good silhouette.
The length is just right...
Hah! Hey Terry, I've actually watched a bunch of your videos. Love the fades on that first one.
The second one looks mint. Neat feed company patch too.
Wicked custom! I wasn't familiar with Ciano Farmer, so thanks for the tip off!
That Lee Japan looks pretty well perfect... Picked the perfect time to try and use a forwarding service to get that to Australia.
Why aren't the images loading for me? :'(
I don't reckon Storm Riders got nearly as much love down in Aus as they did in the States. Don't seem to be many pre-80's ones on the market.
If you're ever thinking of parting with the size 42, I may be interested...
Cheers!
Interesting... I have corduroy handwarmers on one of my favourite jackets, maybe that's clouding my judgement.
Are you able to put your finger on what put you off?
Okay, I think that's a new front runner, though that price is rough...
Anything without handwarmers (though the Iron Heart's corduroy lined ones, even with the gigantic price tag, do look good) is a potential for me.
Damn, that's sharp. Is that black corduroy on the collar too?
For the moment, I'm hunting a classic indigo denim + cord collar + blanket lining, but that black leather is ace.
Hi all,
Thought I'd ask the brains trust... I'm looking for a high quality Storm Rider repro, are there any current makers that you'd recommend?
Current front runner is the Studio d'Artisan Ranch Jacket.
Thanks!
Tom
