If you had to buy a new car.....

Hemingway, you sound like my kind of people. I too hold my allegience to the mighty Jeep brand. I have an '02 Grand Cherokee Laredo (which is the low model on the totem pole as far as Grand Cherokees are concerned) which I love. I graduated from a '86 Cherokee Laredo which I pretty much ran into...

    "They" really are watching

Google Earth dooesn't bother me at all......especially since the aerial photos of my city were taken last in 1996 and my street did not exist at that time. So when I look for my house on Google Earth I look for the big field several block away from the high school.

If you had to pick one DRINK from the Golden Era...

I've never been a fan of any alcoholic beverages, so I would choose Dr Pepper as my favorite Golden Era beverage. For those who doubt, Dr Pepper was invented in 1884......a year before Coke's 1885 birth. Luke

I own a Korean War era Willys jeep (1951 M38). It's not restored to original condition, and it probably never will be, but it sure is fun to wheel off the beaten path. Picture of my Jeep

    Vintage flashights...any sources?

If it is a military flash light the red would be for use out in the field becase red can not be seen as well over great distances as white or green can. The green would probably be used for signaling Morse Code since the human eye can pick up green light better than any other color at great...

Also, if I'm not mistaken, TCM does not break for commercials...

    The lost world

The Lord Roxton character in that show (not shown in the above piture) regularly uses a pair of "ivory" handled Webleys. They certainly have taken a few "creative liberties" with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel. Luke

I have the Benny Goodman recording from Cargegie Hall the rendition of Sing, Sing, Sing on the album jacket is titled Sing, Sing, Sing (With A Swing). At 12+ minutes long and including an extended drum solo by Gene Krupa (which is awesome) is by far my favorite piece of swing music. Luke

Does America Care about World War I and the soliders in it?

Maybe all that's needed to boost interest in WWI is a movie to be made about it. It worked for WWI with Saving Private Ryan and for the Civil War with Glory and Gettysburg Luke
