    An Akubra would probably solve the water issue, but they don't seem to have anything crushable. And if it's not crushable, I'm back to the problem of wrecking the brim against the head restraint. Or did I overlook something?

    A fedora gives me better sun protection than an eight-panel (the dermatologist loves my fedoras), on top of which the fedora just looks better. And if I can't find a suitable fedora, I might as well keep using a baseball cap. I've got dozens of the damn things laying around the house.

    I suppose it's possible I'll outgrow the problem, but I'm skeptical. Probably have to stretch my neck another 6 inches or so to clear the seat. Meanwhile, does anybody know of a crushable fur felt? Or perhaps a LiteFelt crushable that won't stain in a sprinkle?

    I drove an MG long enough to learn that I'm not a good enough mechanic to own one now (have to admit, it was still a fun car). Then again, no head restraints to screw up my hats.

    Happy to say that won't be necessary. With today's convertibles (or at least my convertible), my hat stayed on while I drove 90 mph across Wyoming.

    Can anybody recommend a fedora that will be compatible with the convertible I drive? As I'm sure you already know, today's automobiles are equipped with head restraints, and I consider that a good thing. But head restraints wreak havoc on the brims of my fedoras. One solution is to wear a bill...
