Thanks again for the additional info. Nothing is ever clear cut. With ref to the image of the branding iron showing the letters B R, I have also seen images of the branding iron with the letters R R. Any significance to this?- Yorkshire Lad

Thanks for reply. Found this info from a post dated 2005 - The brown sweatbands are usually the older models. The black sweatbands are from the 1960s and newer Regards- Yorkshire Lad
