Came across this beauty today and couldn't pass it up. It has the 1939 union tag, and based on the styling I'd guess it's no later than the mid-40s. It's in fantastic condition - the jacket and vest are pristine, and the trousers only have two or three very, very small moth bites in the crotch area that wouldn't be visible when worn.


I'd estimate the size as 38-40R.


I'd like to get $300 for it. I could put it on Ebay, and I'd expect it to do well there given the moderate size and good condition, but if a Lounger wants first crack at it, so much the better.


Measurements:


Jacket:
Chest: 41"
Waist: 37.5"
Length from bottom of collar: 29.5"
Shoulders: 19"
Sleeves: 24.75" with about 1" to let down


Vest:
Chest: 39"
Length (from center back neck around and down to the points): 25"


Trousers:
Waist: 34" with nothing to let out
Inseam: 29" + .5" to let down without losing cuffs; 31.5" total possible length if you let the cuffs down.
Outseam: 41"

Here's a larger version of the photo, though it's still hard to see. It's about an inch to the left of the seat seam, about three inches or so below the level of the pockets. The repair itself is maybe a half-inch long. I can't imagine it'd be very noticeable when the suit was being worn, and depending on how the seat fits you it could potentially even be taken in to hide it altogether.
