Hey all,
I have here, for your consideration, a Royal Stetson fedora circa 1930s/40s.
The felt is a light grey heather, and is VERY soft and easy to work in the hand.
There are a couple of light stains on the underside of the brim, and the back of the crown; they are mostly unnoticeable and shouldn't impact the wearability of the hat in the slightest.
To me it feels like it was processed with mercury given the extreme softness of the felt and the fact that I have another hat from the 30s on which the felt feels very much the same.
It has some great decorative stitching on the brim, and a raw edge as was common for the period.
This really is the perfect gangster hat. It's showy in a way I haven't seen many fedoras be. I really wish it fit me but, it's just simply too small for my giant head.

Here's the specs:
The front and back of the brim are 2 ¾ in wide, while the sides are 2 ½ in.
The crown is 4 ½ in creased, and 5 ½ in open.
The ribbon is 1 in wide.
While the sweatband is 1 and ⅞ in wide.

$150obo

Nice! I’d buy it myself but I’d just flip it or use it for trade. I’ll let others who will wear it themselves get their chance, but if it doesn’t sell let me know and I’ll take it.
