That's not linen, it's Palm Beach Cloth. Fabulous stuff, there have been discussions about it here before. I told the vendor about it, and he was appreciative. I wonder if he had advertised it properly if the price would have been higher. Bad for seller good for buyer.
Palm Beach Cloth is an amazing blend of cotton and mohair that Goodal used to make in Maine. Ceased production in the 50s I believe.
Any garment made of it, including ties, becomes almost automatically, a semi Holy Grail garment. Many off white dinner jackets out there made of it. If you can find a Palm Beach white dinner jacket, your personal coolness quotient automatically doubles.
