Flat for sale is out of this world
Mar. 26 - It's a flat literally out of this world.

Based on the interiors of Star Trek spaceships Enterprise and Voyager, this studioflat in the small town of Hinckley in Leicestershire is coming up for sale on E-bay during the last week of March.

The owner, Tony Alleyne decided to embark on the project after he separated from his wife in 1995 and managed to turn his flat into a bachelor pad with a difference. Not your usual DIY, but with meticulous eye for detail.

Reuters reporter Mirja Spernal took a look around before being transported back to London.

That is awesome!!

It's not quite what I would be in the market for, but I have to say that it's cool.
I think the lack of bedroom may be a deal-breaker for most folks (even fans) though....

Thanks for posting it! I've been a Trek fan since I was a kid (diehard original, the others not as much) I loved seeing that.

:eek:fftopic: And I'm totally digging your evil Spock avatar!

Gee, I wonder why his wife didn't want to live with him anymore?
Just kidding. That's quite neat really. I'd rather a 1966 Star Trek pad myself. Who's up for a Sarian brandy? (did I spell that right..oh,who cares!) [again, just kidding Trekkers!]

I believe Trekkies 2 has him talking about his flat and some good shots of it. The documentary and its predecessor are worth watching.

Sincerely,

I remember seeing this apartment on some HGTV show. I think it's really smart the way he has all of his stuff hidden behind panels and such. Like Joie DeVive said, the lack of bedroom makes it less appealing.
