I have a couple of 1920's black fedoras that will probably end up on ebay tonight or tomorrow, but I'd at least like to let loungers take a look at them first. Here's the second one:
1920's 'Standard'
This is one of the '20s fedoras where the brim was meant to be dipped in front, and has too much curl to snap. The felt is thin and soft, and can be bashed very easily.
It also has a wind cord (no button), that is more like a thick black string - never seen one like this. It's stamped "Standard Clothing House Minneapolis". No issues with any part of the hat - just some normal evidence of an old bash which pops out easily. Dry-bashing is simple on this one. Sweatband has some staining, but is soft and supple and completely attached, with v-stitching, taped at the back (not stitched0 and a tiny size sticker - it could very well be older than the '20s. Crown is between 5 3/4 - 6", brim is 2 5/8, but appears shorter because of curl, circumference is 22 3/8".
My price is $145 shipped.
