This jacket is really killer! The hide is amazing and quite beautiful. It is however a style I just no longer particularly care for. The standard HB is just a bit too banal for me these days and I’ve got other jackets that will simply push this to the back of the closet.
Liner is mint, as is the wee talon zipper. Hide shows tremendous character that these pics do no justice. It’s been a horrible shade of flat grey in Chicago for what feels like 300 years. Elk is wild. It’s super dense and thick but incredibly soft. It’s like deer on steroids. Feels much more substantial and far less delicate than deer. Shows color variation from dark to light all over the place.
