John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I would suggest Crush on Retro. Their J24 is beyond worth the price and their customer service responds quickly and will get you the measurements so you will order the right size.Thank you all for sharing this info; you have me interested in purchasing a Chinese Buco J-24 horsehide repro, like many of you have shared. Can anyone suggest ways of accessing the Taobao website or app from the US, so that it's in English? It seems as this is the best way to purchase but I can't get the site to translate , even when I follow the instructions on google. It's tough to decide which brand to go with ( Crush on Retro, Tailor Brando, Real Simons, Cidu). From what I've read, Real Simons seems like the best quality but the others are almost as good for a decently less price.
I am pretty sure that Crush and Brando are retailers and not brands but I could be wrong. It's tough to decide which brand to go with ( Crush on Retro, Tailor Brando, Real Simons, Cidu).
Thanks. Is it cheaper to get a Crush on Retro Jacket from Taobao? Do you know?I would suggest Crush on Retro. Their J24 is beyond worth the price and their customer service responds quickly and will get you the measurements so you will order the right size.
Check the previous page as we discussed on that.Thanks. Is it cheaper to get a Crush on Retro Jacket from Taobao? Do you know?
Thanks for the info. I thought US members on here were able to access Taobao on their own somehow. I can sometimes get my browsers to translate most of the pages, but I get stuck at the captchas when the site asks me to register. I'll look into the previous pages. Sounds like the agent route might be a bit of an ordeal but the "bargain hunter" in me despises middlemen, especially if the savings is big.Check the previous page as we discussed on that.
Basically you will need an agent to purchase from Taobao and send stuff from there to your residence. They will basically keep whatever you buy in their warehouse, which you then will be able to ship. It's been a while I've looked into this, so I cannot really recommend you a specific agent and I don't know how much they've improved navigating Taobao, as most agents would have an interface that allows you to query Taobao. This is all basically exactly how Fromjapan or Buyee operate with the JP market, you would just need to find their CN counterpart.
If you do not use an agent, the alternative is using a middleman. These basically operate by selling items from Taobao as if they were their own, for quite an extra price. Crush On Retro or Tailor Brando are middleman examples.
You can browse Taobao from anywhere in the world, but the website is fully in Chinese and you cannot ship to outside China. The agents work so that you buy through their UI, so they then buy on your behalf and ship it to their warehouse with an identifier for your user to store it and then ship whenever you want to within a set amount of days (usually 30 days of free storage, then you have to pay for additional days if you don't ship before that). Thanks for the info. Its possible to get an account on taobao through wechat. Then you can just use google lens to translate the app. Taobao no longer support consolidation and shipping to the US, so you will need to use an external agent. Thanks for the info. you can use superbuy, basetao, or any of the others. Once you sign up for an account you can either have them order through taobao for you or you can order direct on taobao with alipay (once again you need a wechat) and ship it to your agent's warehouse
getting a wechat is quite annoying as well. If you have the links you can just use an agent to purchase. I believe you might be able to browse taobao on some of the agent sites
Thanks for the info! After browsing Superbuy and older pages on this thread, I think my best option might be to go with that gentleman named Dylan who has been mentioned a lot, assuming he’s able to get these jackets for cheaper than buying direct from Crush on Retro , Tailor Brando or Real Simons . The agent sites seem confusing and a bit of a gamble, unless someone has a direct link for a reliable seller that they’ve used and trust. You can browse Taobao from anywhere in the world, but the website is fully in Chinese and you cannot ship to outside China. Dylan is the guy running Tailor Brando, so a middleman.that gentleman named Dylan who has been mentioned a lot, assuming he’s able to get these jackets for cheaper than buying direct from Crush on Retro , Tailor Brando or Real Simons
