As others have noted unlike the slimmer fit of wartime style A-2’s the Cooper reincarnation can be looser, baggier or more ‘blousy’
I'm sure they can be.

My main point was just that the 90's orange label coopers with ideal zippers are generally better fitting than the later to current orange labels that I'd say are just wrong.

Measurements are absolutely important, but it helps to know what you can discriminate against so you don't keep turning up these later examples with little chance of having good measurements.

I agree or at least mine fit extremely well.. I shouldn’t have gotten rid of it! I even liked the way the arms looked and fit. I feel like the lost worlds a2 I have is a bit large in the upper arms. Now that I have worn the **** out of it, it’s much better. I remember the 90’s cooper fitting well from day 1. I think i wasn’t totally happy with the leather but overall very nice well made jacket..

I don't know about longevity, but it's definitely a very comfortable leather at least.

I think you need answer first two questions.
Do you want historical tatch
ore you look for looks.
First only original but very rare and expensive wearable one what are still possible in small sizes 38/40
Second 99% don't even recognize how exactly replicated A-2 even film promp don't care about this.
So looking for designs and leather.
Skinny like a Doniger Bronco
Or Roomy like A Dubow or Rough Wear. But even this not matter more important how this works with your style.
Have about 20 years collecting original flight jacket, leather nylon.
All time wear repro cheap Cooper A-2 ore RM leather L-2b both not spec correct but comfortable and great looking.
Occasional wearing my originals A-2 or M-422 but I know for most people this looks only as creepy old second hand jacket
