Guys...

Just picked up the Carole Landis book "Four Jills in a Jeep." Bought an original hardcover from 1944, which includes some wonderful stills from the movie of the same name.

My plan, as it sits now, is to write a short (1000 words or so) piece about Carole and her escapades for one of the WWII rags, most likely "America in World War II."

Who else among you LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Carole Landis?

There are a couple of interesting websites about her. One guy gets very wordy, but says some interesting things. http://www.anthropoetics.ucla.edu/cl/
You can Google the others.
Yes, there are many stars who rose and fell in Hollywood, and many sad stories (this is getting pulpish, but it's fitting), but Carole Landis's story is especially poignant.
You just wish you could tell people who do this to hold on a little longer, something good will come along.
Beautiful, beautiful woman. What a damned shame.
Yeah, I really dig Carole Landis.
