I haven't seen it, and although I like Robert Altman (Nashville) I heard it was good, okay. I just can't see myself supporting Lindsay Lohan's career, regardless if her part was small and her role (acting) was good, I'll let some one else support her and wait for the DVD, even then I doubt I'll see it (rent or buy) it depends. I am flickle about movies these days, I tend to enjoy vintage era when I can, also getting lost into TCM, theres so many films I've never seen or have known about, I just love old movies.
I listen to the radio show every Saturday and love it. So I said to myself, "Self this movie would be a good one" so I went right out and purchased it. Now Self sayes to me " Nay, Nay, Stick to the radio"
I received this from Netflix and watched about half of it.
Extremely boring! A few good acting roles but the plot had two speeds: dead slow, and stop.
Maybe one day I will catch it on cable the see the entire film.
Until then I have my new Tough Guys collection box set and Nightmare Alley dvds. I purchased them from Tower Records for a pittance. TR are closing the stores and everything is currently marked down 30 -50 %! A great opportunity to get your favorite films at discounted prices.
I'm watching it right now, and as you might be able to tell from the fact I am also on the computer, it's not holding my interest. I like the feel of the movie, kind of nastolgic. I did cry when the old guy died, but then again I having been crying over everything lately, from Dumbo (that song Baby Mine kills me every time) to the Land Before Time, to Lisa Williams: Life Among The Dead on Lifetime. I should buy stock in Kleenex.
