Friend, love your jackets. I however, own several Broncos. One I was told was a prototype made in steerhide. The other is in tan goat. Both main zipper fail miresably. I am very careful with my jackets. I was able to get a new repo zipper from them, but I will not use it because it will also fail. I will probably use NOS period correct conmars zip the big bell-shape pull. In my view, the jacket is not worth the price. By the way, your buco is so very cool. I also have an original in my size but not as near well made as yours. Mine is in the quilted lping in here

How old are your Broncos ? ( i know we haven't used tan goat skin for at least 15 years) . The m42 Talons ( Japanese) we use in our military jackets are not to be confused with the talons that we dropped that were used in civilain styles. Our Japanese m42s are extremely reliable ( an expensive) , we have been using them for approx 13 years in all military jackets with very few issues.
I am assuming the issues you might have had are with older jackets ? ( and older zips). When were you sent a replacement zip?

Two new Broncos broke, and the teeth came off from the tape. I do not remember exactly how long it was, because I stopped using them. I did not bother the company anymore because the zippers were below par in both Broncos I got from aero. The fact that I have not used those practically aero broncos is because I was so dissatisfied with aero products.

Update. I went to aero's site today, 3/20/2026, and saw the same tan jacket I own in what aero calls russett goat hide. It appears to me, as the very same shade of "tan" goat as mine, even down to the OD color shade thread. Bottom line, I have TWO practically new jackets in my closet with broken zippers that I have not used due to inferior materials utilized to construct this particular A-2 Bronco Contract No. W535-AC-29191. Lastly, I am not impressed with some Japanese zippers because some have been known to fail within a few months of usage. These zipper failures stopped me from purchasing the RMC Harley interpretation of their cross-zip jacket.
