Aero A2s

I have Eastman A2s, and have seen Goodwear and Keslo repo A2s and all are excellent at getting all the details of an A2 contract correct. All use high end leather in their A2s.

I have zero experience with Aero A2s. The leather I see looks great. It appears the A2s they offer are Aero and Bronco repos.

My question is how closely do the come to nailing all the details of A2 contracts they are manufacturing?

I don’t know about specific details of A2 original contracts, but one thing I know for sure is that the leathers that Aero uses are just as good as the ones from Eastman, as I own/owned multiple jackets from both brands.

It seems that aero makes their A2 repros the way they were supposed to come out the factory. Meaning that quality control is much better. Originals usually have wonky stitching somewhere and other quirks.

Back in 2012 when Ken came out of retirement to deal with the Lauder mess, he spent a lot of time reworking the range, including the military jackets. The A2 patterns had a lot of attention - the Aero ones especially, obviously. Same time as the Aero Irvin were made 'right'. They had been c.2004-2011 at least very tubular in the arms; Ken worked on the patterns and gave them the correct shape per originals. For my money they're as good as any high end repro these days. That said, if what you want is something accurate in terms of rushed, war-time production with all sorts of horrors (I've seen originals with one pocket a full inch or more higher than the one on the other side), you'd have to go looking elsewhere!

Aero makes great A-2's but not as convincing as repros as your two ELC's. Stick with those and get on the Good Wear list.
