I mean deer skin is nice too but wouldn’t want to go down on it if in an accident. I still assume people buy these for bikes but I guess it’s a fashion thing too. What ever suits your needs.

Just not a fan. I’ve had some and they’re fine but prefer steer hide or horse hide. Personal preference. Especially since I use them to ride my motorcycle.

Goatskin is an extremely tough leather. It's one of the strongest leathers for abrasion resistance, probably only beaten by kangaroo.

Are you confusing it with lambskin?
