I have one LW jacket with laser tight switching and I seldom wear the LW compared to my 3 or 4 Aero jackets. Switching be damed the Aeros have character and feel better on.

Hey guys, wanted to update everyone. Got the new jacket in just in time for fall, and all is well. Julie did an excellent job stitching it, and no holes to boot! Thanks again to Aero and Carrie at Thurston!

Hi everyone,

As a new member of the Lounge, I’d like to ask for your expert opinion on my recent purchase.
I just received my custom Aero Premier Highwayman in Natural CXLHH. Overall, I am thrilled with the jacket: the fit, the sizing, and the leather quality are absolutely spot on. It is a beast!
However, I have some minor concerns regarding the craftsmanship, specifically the stitching around the cuffs. From what I’ve read here on the forum, some irregularities might be considered "character" or part of the handmade process at Aero (especially with 4 layers of heavy horsehide), but I’m curious to hear what the more experienced members think about the finish.
I’ve attached some photos for reference. Does this look like the typical Aero standard to you?
Thanks for your insights!

Beautiful jacket! Congrats!

A bit wobbly, I do agree. Also, there seems to be some tension on the thread in one photo. Do show it to Holly/Denny to see what they have to say.
Visually, I would not mind much. It’s a handmade product, and I don’t expect “perfection“. Other may disagree, but personally, a quintessentially rugged utility piece can have a bit of a rugged stitching.
