Akubra Glen Grey

I did a search on this but couldn't dig anything up. Has anyone received an akubra campdraft in the glen grey color? I looked at the pic on hats direct but not sure how dark the glen grey is. I want something close to or lighter than the moonstone but not a silver belly. Anyone have any pics they can post of any akubra in the glen grey? The reason I ask is that I recently obtained a stylemaster in mid grey and it is almost charcoal in color, even darker than the carbon grey, and way too dark for my taste.

Hi Redhawks2. I have one of the glen grey Camp Drafts and it is a much darker color than the moonstone and without the tinge of blue found in moonstone. Here are pictures if they help:

Just to chime in...

Glen Grey is darker than Moonstone, but lighter than Carbon/Steel/Mid-Grey. Compared to the dark charcoal aspect of the Carbon/Steel/Mid, it has a distinct bluish cast. It's a very nice medium grey. (And unlike the Carbon/Steel/Mid, it doesn't appear black in dim light.)

Both of the following pictures were taken in very bright sunlight - though one on film, and one digital (note how differently the same black leather jacket appears).

Thanks guys for the feedback. I think I can live with the glen grey now that I know what it looks like. I am so anxious to get one of these campdrafts.

I definitely think you will like it. Mine gets a lot of wear, even in summer. By the way, several of us are trying to get Hats Direct to come up with a moonstone Camp Draft. It should be a real winner!

Then let Hats Direct know it. Go to their website www.hatsdirect.com , click on Contact in upper right corner, select email us here & let Ron Lilburne know it. The more we request it, the more likely we'll get it. It worked for the Glen Grey version.
