New Akubra Brumby Fit

Hello, I have just received my new Akubra Brumby and it is beautiful hat, however, I am a little unsure about the fit. I have five other Akubras including two snowy rivers all size 58 and only the snowy rivers need hat fillers which makes them a perfect fit with my head measuring 57.5cm with a flexible tape. Now, when I bought the new brumby a couple of weeks ago I ordered a 58 with a pack of Akubra hat fillers assuming they would be necessary to achieve the perfect fit again, however, I am finding the hat a tad too tight to the point of making my head sore with the fillers in place, but, like my snowy rivers, way too loose without the filler pads. been wearing the hat everyday for a couple of hours for over a week now in the hope the filler pads will flatten out but no real change yet. Do I just need to be patient and keep wearing the hat? Anyone else had this problem? Here are some photos including one of the positioning of the filler pads.

...why not just take out two of the filers? Try one or two.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I am thinking about taking out the back pad as this seems to prevent the back of the leather band sit securely on my head, I suppose if the hat is then too loose again I can always use tissue?
